Tribune Staff Report
A Bourbon County tax sale for properties that have been seized for delinquent taxes will be held on the first floor of the county courthouse at 10 a.m. April 10.Residents interested in becoming bidders must obtain a bidding number from County Treasurer Susan Quick. Bid numbers will be made available beginning Monday, April 2.

“The taxes that are delinquent all go away and are not charged to the new owner,” Quick said.

The day of the sale, bids will be placed in whole dollars and the high bidder will be the purchaser of the property.

Winning bidders must pay the entire winning bid at time of the sale, in addition to paying a separate charge for the deed filing. All properties are sold as-is, with no warranties, according to the Bourbon County website.

A list of properties is available on the website, or by request from the Treasurer’s Office.
